3.1 General

All products listed on our website are subject to availability. We reserve the right to limit quantities or discontinue any product at any time without notice.

We make every effort to display our products accurately. However, we cannot guarantee that colours, images or product appearance will be displayed exactly as seen on your device.

Due to manufacturing tolerances, product weights, dimensions and appearance may vary slightly from those stated.

3.2 Metal Sensitivities and Allergic Reactions

Jewellery may contain precious metals and metal alloys that can cause allergic reactions or skin sensitivities in certain individuals. Customers are responsible for ensuring they are not allergic or sensitive to the materials used in a product before purchase.

We make every effort to accurately describe the materials used in our jewellery. However, 87 Jewellers cannot be held responsible for allergic reactions or skin sensitivities experienced by individuals where the product is correctly described, complies with applicable UK product safety requirements, and is free from defects.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection legislation.

Please be aware that hallmarks can be extremely small, worn, damaged, obscured, or otherwise difficult to read, particularly on pre-owned, antique, or heavily worn items. As a result, we cannot guarantee that any hallmark information, interpretation, identification, date, maker, or other related information provided by us is 100% accurate.

Any information regarding hallmarks is provided in good faith and is based on what can reasonably be identified from the item at the time of listing or sale. We accept no liability for any inaccuracies, misinterpretations, or omissions relating to supplementary hallmark information, including information concerning the maker, date, location, or origin of an item.

Customers are encouraged to carry out their own research and, where the precise identification or interpretation of a hallmark is important to them, to seek an independent assessment from a suitably qualified professional before purchasing.

By purchasing a product, you acknowledge and accept that supplementary hallmark information may be limited by the condition, size, age, and legibility of the hallmark. No guarantee is given as to the accuracy of supplementary hallmark information beyond the statutory requirements applicable to the sale of the product.

3.4 Pre-Owned Items

A number of the products offered by 87 Jewellers are pre-owned, vintage, antique, or previously worn items. Due to the nature and age of such products, they may show signs of previous use and may not be in the same condition as a new item.

3.4.1 Pre-Owned Jewellery

Pre-owned jewellery may display signs of previous use, including but not limited to minor scratches, scuffs, dents, marks, surface wear, tarnishing, discolouration, and other age-related imperfections.

Items may also have undergone previous cleaning, polishing, resizing, repairs, alterations, stone replacement, or other modifications before being acquired or offered for sale by 87 Jewellers. Unless specifically stated in the product description, we cannot guarantee that every component of a pre-owned item is original to the item or that we are aware of its complete history.

Due to the age and previous use of some items, minor imperfections may not always be visible in photographs or specifically mentioned in the product description. Customers are encouraged to carefully review all photographs and descriptions before purchasing and to contact us before purchase if they require clarification regarding an item's condition.

Where an item's condition, repair history, alterations, originality, or other characteristics are known to us, we will endeavour to provide accurate information in the product description. However, we cannot guarantee that the complete history of a pre-owned item is known or can be established.

Normal signs of age and previous use that are consistent with the item's stated condition should not automatically be considered defects.

3.4.2 Pre-Owned Watches

3.4.2.1 Condition

Pre-owned watches may display signs of previous use, including scratches, scuffs, dents, marks, bracelet or strap wear, case wear, tarnishing, and other age-related imperfections. The condition of individual components may vary according to the age, use, maintenance, and previous treatment of the watch.

A pre-owned watch may have previously undergone servicing, repairs, polishing, replacement of components, bracelet resizing, or other alterations. Unless specifically stated in the product description, we cannot guarantee that all components are original to the watch or that we are aware of its complete service and repair history.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, we do not guarantee when a watch was last serviced unless explicitly stated. Mechanical and automatic watches may gain or lose time and their accuracy may vary depending on the condition and age of the movement, position, usage, and other factors.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, water resistance should not be assumed for any pre-owned watch. Water resistance can deteriorate over time due to ageing seals, previous servicing, opening of the case, damage, or general wear. Customers should have the water resistance independently tested before exposing a pre-owned watch to water if not otherwise specified. Any values given for water resistance are the original values given from the manufacturer.

For quartz watches, a brand new Swiss Renata Battery will be installed before dispatch. The presence of a working battery at the time of sale does not constitute a guarantee of future battery life however we can estimate it to last upwards of a year however this is not a guarantee. Battery life can vary depending on the age and condition of the battery and movement.

Where the originality, service history, age, model, reference, components, or other information relating to a pre-owned watch cannot be definitively established, any such information provided by us will be based on the information reasonably available to us at the time of listing and will be identified accordingly where appropriate.

Customers are encouraged to carefully review the photographs and product description and to carry out their own research before purchasing, particularly where originality, provenance, servicing, or specific model details are important to them.

As a complimentary service, we are happy to resize your watch bracelet before dispatch if requested. While every effort is made to resize the bracelet according to the measurements provided, fit is ultimately a matter of personal preference.

As this is a complimentary service, we cannot accept liability if the bracelet does not fit exactly as desired. Further adjustments may be required after delivery.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in GBP (£). We reserve the right to change prices at any time prior to an order being accepted.

4.1 Pricing Errors

In the event we discover an item has a pricing error before dispatch/collection. We will contact you and you will have the option to proceed at the correct price or receive a full refund. If we can't reach you within a reasonable period, we won't be able to accept your order, and we'll issue a refund.

Payment must be received in full before items are dispatched unless paying in instalments through approved payment providers such as PayPal or Klarna. We accept major credit and debit cards together with any other payment methods displayed at checkout.

8. Limitation of Liability

12. Selling Your Items to 87 Jewellers

12.1 Offer and Acceptance

By sending or presenting items to 87 Jewellers for sale, you are making an offer to sell those items to us. All offers are subject to inspection, verification and acceptance by 87 Jewellers. We reserve the right to refuse any item at our sole discretion.

12.2 Price Fluctuations

All quotations and estimates are indicative only and may change at any time due to fluctuations in the market price of gold, silver and other precious metals. Final valuations are confirmed only after assessment by 87 Jewellers.

12.3 Valuation Process

All items received will be inspected, tested and assessed to determine their authenticity, precious metal content, purity, weight and condition.

Prior to weighing, items may be cleaned to remove dirt, dust, grease, polishing compounds and other surface contaminants that could affect the accuracy of the weight.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, 87 Jewellers purchases precious metals only. Gemstones, diamonds, cubic zirconia, glass, watch movements, springs, base metal components and any other non-precious-metal materials are not included in our valuation or purchase price.

Where reasonably necessary to accurately determine the precious metal content or weight of an item, we may remove stones or other non-precious-metal components during the valuation process. By sending or presenting your items to us for valuation, you authorise us to carry out such removal where reasonably required. You acknowledge that this process may permanently alter the item.

Our offer reflects the value of the precious metal only unless we expressly state otherwise. The final offer may therefore differ from any estimate based on the item's total weight before stones or other non-precious-metal components are removed.

If you wish to have any removed stones or other components returned, you must notify us before accepting our offer. You will be responsible for the reasonable cost of postage, packaging and insurance for their return. If you do not request their return, or fail to pay the applicable return costs within 30 days of being notified, 87 Jewellers may dispose of the removed components without further liability.

12.4 No Guarantee of Sale

87 Jewellers does not guarantee that any item sent or presented will be purchased. If you do not accept our offer, the item may be returned to you at your cost unless otherwise agreed.

12.5 Shipping Responsibility

If you choose to send items to us, you are responsible for ensuring they are packaged securely and sent using a suitable tracked and insured delivery service. 87 Jewellers is not liable for any loss or damage occurring during transit to us.

12.6 Risk and Ownership

Ownership of items remains with you until we have inspected the item and confirmed acceptance of our offer. Risk transfers to 87 Jewellers only once we have accepted the item for purchase.

12.7 Identification Requirements

To comply with legal and anti-fraud obligations, we may require valid identification before completing any transaction. Failure to provide satisfactory identification may result in delays or cancellation of the transaction.

12.8 Payment

Once an offer has been accepted, payment will be made by the agreed method within a reasonable timeframe. We reserve the right to delay payment where additional verification is reasonably required.

12.9 Prohibited and Stolen Goods

By selling items to us, you confirm that you are the lawful owner of the goods and that they are not stolen, counterfeit or otherwise subject to any legal restriction. We reserve the right to report suspicious items or transactions to the appropriate authorities.

12.10 Unclaimed Items

If items are returned to you and remain unclaimed, or delivery cannot be completed due to incorrect information or failure to accept delivery, 87 Jewellers reserves the right to charge reasonable storage and re-delivery costs.
